COVID-19 Supplement to the SLAED Indicators Report 2019-20

The 2019/20 SLAED Indicators Report was published in December 2020. As the report sets out data from the 2019/20 financial year, the unique economic circumstances faced in 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and economic crisis were not reflected. This supplement therefore acknowledges the significant impact the crisis had on local areas, as well as the critical role that local authority economic development services played, both in terms of the initial crisis response as well as ongoing support for recovery.

SLAED Communications Plan

The SLAED Communications Plan sets out the range of ways in which members communicate, both internally and externally. SLAED provides an effective forum for representing, supporting, promoting and further developing the vital role played by local authorities as a collective in contributing to the development of Scotland’s economy. It also provides a national voice for local economic development. This Communications Plan has been developed via engagement of SLAED members through a series of workshops held in late 2019, and its purpose is to enhance and formalise SLAED communications, both within the network and with external stakeholders. These include local, regional and national partners.
